A bicycle rider hit by a vehicle on Route 9G in Dutchess County remains in serious condition, according to the Hyde Park Police.
The crash took place around 3:04 p.m., Thursday, April 25, in the area of 577 Route 9G, said Hyde Park Police Chief Robert Benson.
Patrol arrived on the scene and found Lorenzo Calderon 86-year-old male from Staatsburg unconscious. Calderon appeared to be traveling south on Route 9G on a bicycle and was struck by a 2015 Toyota also traveling south, Benson said.
The Toyota was driven by Susan V Andrews, 50, of Wappingers Falls, he added.
Calderon was transported to Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital by Northern Dutchess Paramedics where he remains listed in serious condition.
The accident is being investigated by the Hyde Park Police Department with the assistance of the New York State Police Accident Reconstruction Unit.
The cause is still under investigation.
The Roosevelt Fire Department, Roosevelt Rescue Squad, Northern Dutchess Paramedics and New York State Police also assisted at the scene.
